All proceeds will to go to the Library. Donations of children’s books or Adult fiction in good condition can be taken to the library on Wednesday afternoon before the sale.
From tomorrow at 2pm we will be open again. Social distancing and safety measures are in place and we are ready to welcome you back. Please follow the signs as the entrance is now via the side gate. The flow of customers into the library will be monitored carefully to allow for distancing and we ask that everyone entering the library wears a face covering.
We are delighted to be re-opening from August 12th.
As you will appreciate we have had to temporarily change things about to conform to Government Guidelines so that we are able to do this safely.
We will be opening on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings for the time being.
You will be asked to wear a face covering whilst in the library and use the hand sanitizer provided. We are also assisting Public Health England (PHE) on the Covid-19 Test and Trace service so we will be asking you for basic contact details when entering the library.
We will be operating a one- way system to allow for social distancing and the layout inside the library has been slightly changed too. Entrance to the library will be via the side gate and exit will be through the main door, just follow the signs. Books can be dropped off in the letterbox anytime or in the boxes provided when the library is open.
The public computers will not be avilable but the photocopier will be available providing correct change is used. ( b&w 25p per copy A4)

The Request and Collect Service is being offered to Library Members prior to the Full Re opening of the library. This service will open for requests on Monday 13th of July with the first books available for collection on Saturday 18th July.

Requests received before mid-day on Monday will be processed on Wednesday, books will be bagged ready for collection on the following from the library between 10am and 12.30pm. the following Saturday. Volunteers will do their best to meet your requirements, but please be aware that many of the most popular titles may still be on loan because of the current situation.
We will ensure Government guidelines and safety measures are in place for both our volunteers and customers which will be under constant review. When you come to collect your books please maintain a social distance from other customers, and please only one customer at the door at a time.
For members who are unable to get to the library due to underlying health or mobility reasons please call the library as we will endeavour to get books to you.

As we try to get ready for the reopening of the Library we would like to have some fun materials to display. If you have read a good book during lockdown that you have really enjoyed why not tell us about it…. Draw a picture of your favourite characters, tell us why you liked it so much or how about re-creating a favourite scene by dressing up as the character and taking a photo for us to display. You could even get your family involved too by re-creating a scene. Most of all have fun and share your good stories with us. Dont forget to include your name and contact details. 
If you still have a library book don’t worry as the returns date has been extended until July 6th. If this has to be extended further we will let you know. The library book drop is being emptied regularly so if your daily walk takes you near to the library you can drop them off there.
