Facilities:

Our library is organised into sections on fiction and non-fiction. We have separate sections for crime fiction; large print; audio books; fantasy, western; classics; romance; young adult; teenage and children’s books.

We have two PCs available for free public use. You will need your library card and PIN to access these computers. You can book time on the PCs online on the Leicestershire libraries website or phone the library. If they are not booked you can just walk in and use them. Printing is available from the PCs at a small cost.

Our library offers FREE WIFI for library card holders. You will need your library card number and PIN to access this network from your own devices in the library (iPad, phone, laptop, etc).

Photocopier:

We have a ‘pay per print’ photocopier in the library which can copy, scan or print in black and white or colour. 25p per black and white page, 50p per colour. Coin operated  (use exact change). Help is available with this service from the librarians.

Local History:

We have a small local history section. Please ask the librarians if you are looking for specific information.

Family History:

All Leicestershire libraries offer free access to family history websites. You will need a library card and PIN number to book a session on the computers. See the ‘NEWS’ section for details of upcoming family history events in the library.

Local Information:

We have information leaflets about the local area, including bus timetables and local walks.

Clubs:

We run a ‘Little Bookworms’ session of songs, rhymes and stories for pre-schoolers on certain dates. Mondays are at 2:15 to 2:25 and Thursdays are at 11:15 to 11:45am. These sessions are free. Term-time only. Dates are advertised on our outside noticeboards. Re-starting in September 2018.

Come and meet new people and enjoy a story!

We also run a popular club for seniors on a Friday afternoon (fortnightly) called ‘Hob Nobs’. This is a friendly group so do pop in and say hello. They run regular activities such as quizzes, bingo and craft and offer refreshments. It is a good way to make new friends and to get to know people in the two villages. See our noticeboards and posters for dates and times or contact us by email: nandlclibrary@gmail.com

Hiring the Library:

Our library is available to hire for local groups at £6 per hour (minimum booking £7.50). It is a small venue so is suitable for groups of approximately 12. We have extra seating and tables if necessary. Basic external toilet and kitchen facilities are available. Please use the contact details if you want more information on prices and a booking form.
