Narborough and Littlethorpe Community Managed Library gives our local community the opportunity to not only borrow books and use the internet, but also to enjoy social and learning activities. Or indeed to sit on our bench outside and enjoy our small garden
We now rely totally on voluntary donations and grants to fund all our running costs and insurances etc, so our fund raising is essential.

Summer Fair
Our summer fair will be on Saturday 14th June, 2025, from 2-4pm at the library.
We will have handcrafted toys and gifts for sale as well preloved books.
There will also be a tombola and children’s lucky with fantastic prizes to be won, or you could win a bottle of wine on our bottle-bola!
We will also have a free children’s activity.
It will also be the last chance to buy raffle tickets, as we will be drawing the winner at 3:30pm. We have lots of prizes including a hamper, phone and meal vouchers, so be sure to get your ticket!
This is an important fundraising event, so come along and support your local library.

Book and Plant Sale
We’re holding a book and plant sale at the library on May 17th, 10:15am – 12:30pm.
We have a huge variety of preloved books for sale, including adults fiction and non-fiction and children’s books.
All proceeds from the sales go towards the ongoing costs of running the library, so we thank everyone for their support.
Also, don’t forget to get a raffle ticket while you’re there!
Quiz Tickets on Sale!
Announcing our first quiz of the year, tickets are on sale at the library now!
The quiz will take place at Littlethorpe Village Hall on Friday, 14th March, at 7pm, quiz to start at 7:15pm.
Get your teams together of up to six, or come along and join in with a team. Feel free to bring your own refreshments, some hot drinks will be available.
Tickets are £5 each and available at Narborough and Littlethorpe Community Library (Station Road, Narborough).
The quizzes are vital fundraising events that keep the library open, thank you for your support.

Christmas Fayre!
We are having our Christmas Fayre at the library on Saturday 7th December, 2pm – 4pm.
We’ll have Christmas gifts and cards for sale, and a lucky dip for children. There will also be a colouring competition for children aged 4-11 with advent calendars for the winners.
We also have these beautiful decorations made from books for sale at the library now.
All proceeds fund the ongoing costs of running the library so we hope you’ll join us!
Children’s Book Sale
We’re having a children’s book sale this October. Of course, we always have our spinner inside the library offering some of the adult books we have for sale!
The books are pre-loved and we have plenty of variety for all ages.

Get Online Week Event – Find Out How We Can Help You Get Online
For the Get Online Week initiative by the Good Things Foundation our Digital Drop In team are holding a free event for you to go along and find out what they do.
Whether you want to connect with friends and family, shop safely online, apply for jobs or access online services like the NHS – come along and find out how Digital Drop In can support you.
We also have some free data SIM cards for anyone who needs them, courtesy of the Good Things Foundation.

Quiz! – Tickets On Sale Now
We’re holding another of our popular quizzes in October!
We have a few changes this time, it’s being held at Narborough Parish Centre on Desford Road, and bring your own food and drinks as they will not be provided. Tea and coffee will be available.
Tickets are £5 each and are available from Narborough and Littlethorpe Community Library now.
You can have teams of up to 6 people, so get a team together and start brushing up on your trivia!
